Petersfield food bank is an independent charity run with the support of PACT (Petersfield Area Churches Together)
They provide food packs with tinned and packaged foods and make them available to people in urgent need.
As well as running a voucher scheme so that they can offer fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, eggs and cheese.
Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.
In 2023 Petersfield food bank issued 1517 packs helping 2336 adults and 1416 children.
Donations of tinned, dried and packaged in-date food items can be delivered to Petersfield Methodist Church, Station Road, Petersfield, GU32 3EB on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9.30 to 11.30. Please just ring the bell and one of the volunteers will meet you.
Donations can also be made at Waitrose & Partners, Rams Walk, Petersfield GU32 3JA
Free food packs will then be made available to those in genuine need in the Petersfield area from the Methodist Church, Station Road, Petersfield GU32 3EB on Tuesday and Friday mornings 9.30am – 11.30am.
